
This is a full day pre-Christmas school holiday programme.
It is recommended for children aged 8 years and older.
9am - 3pm on two dates: Tuesday 19 December and Thursday 21 December.
There is a maximum of 6 participants on each date. Your young baker will have their own allocated work station and equipment in a modern kitchen space. They will be taught the basics of kitchen etiquette, baking techniques and terminology. They will work through the whole process of creating three recipes.
Baking menu for the course will include making and decorating iced cookies, making caramel popcorn and creating a chunky slab of Rocky Road.
Participants will be taught all aspects of baking and kitchen process
1. reading recipes
2. measuring and weighing
3. kitchen tidiness/hygene and clean up
4. baking techniques
5. cooking process
All ingredients, tools and packaging will be provided along with recipes.
Lunch will be provided along with aprons and hair nets. They just need to bring themselves and a 'can do' attitude.
